Free as air but lost in seas.
Balises is the meeting, offshore, of two musicians who have taken the stand of improvisation: the French Xavier Charles, clarinettist with a thousand sound researches, sounding partner of the greatest improvisers, and Éric Normand, jazz punk bassist from the Quebec and noise agitator. Both of them have an impressive background of touring and have collaborated with legendary musicians such as John Butcher, Eliane Radigue or deutch experimental punk band The EX.
Their extended instrumental techniques are bringing the music in different acoustic fields ranging from chamber music to noisy electro-acoustic activities.
After a quite agitated CD album on slovenian label Inexhaustible Editions, the duo is releasing his new LP : Balises, a reflective post pandemic journey that aims to be free, peaceful, permissive and gratifying.
The album is released limited edition of 300 LP co produced by label Tour de Bras (Canada), Protagoniste (France) et Ramble (Australie).
